Server Rules

The following rules apply to everyone playing on our server.

No hacking
You're hacking when you're trying to cause a damage to someone or get an advantage you're not eligible for by using a special software/hacking tool, when you're trying to guess/change someone else's password, or modify configuration or behavior of our server.
No PVP except for dedicated areas
Some areas do, some don't allow you to hurt other players, but regardles of whether it works, attacking other players anywere else but in dedicated areas such as in minigames and PVP arenas where fight is explicitly allowed, is breaking the rules. Also in minigames only players currently participating in the game are allowed to fight.
No griefing
Griefing is the act of irritating and angering people in video games through the use of destruction, construction, or social engineering. Simply said, when something is not yours, you may only manipulate it in the way the owner of that thing has allowed you. If you do things to another player that he doesn't like, one of you won't stay on the server for long. And we want the good one to stay.
Don't spam chat, use /tell
If there are 10 people on the server and everyone keeps writing something in the chat, noone will be able to play much without hiding the chat completely. So if you wanna write something that doesn't have to be seen by everyone, send it only to the one who's supposed to read it, using the /tell command. You can also use it's shorter alias /w.
No advertising of other servers
You should only connect to our server to play there. If you wanna advertise your or someone else's server, do it where it is appropriate, i.e. on the minecraftpocket-servers.com website, and don't block connection slots that could be used by players who want to play on our server.
No vulgar or rude talk
Our server exists for poeple to have fun, not to insult or abuse each other. Many users playing on the server are kids between 6 and 15 years old and we want their parents to know it is safe to let their children play on our server. Therefore we absolutely do not tolerate any inappropriate talk or behavior and consider it a severe violation of our rules.
Respect A-team and VIP
Everyone makes mistakses, even A-team members do. But you should know that our server exists and keeps getting better so long mainly thanks to the A-team and sponsors. Recall this every time you do not completely like or agree with something an A-team member or VIP players writes or does. Better than arguing and starting conflicts is to simply disconnect from the server for a moment and take a short break.
Don't ask for o op or gmc
TrainMazeLand has exact strict rules defined regading who can do what and who may have the operator permissions or creative mode. Only owners may have op and creative mode can be given to non-staff Members only for a specific task. No one will get it upon request, so asking for op or creative will only bother other players. So don't do it.
Building trains and railroads must be approved by knedlik
Knedlik is the main builder of trains and railroads on our server, so his is the right to make decisions about them, even outside of Trainland. Please respect that and if you want to help with building trains or railroads, first consult your plans with knedlik.
Don't tell anyone your password
If you suspect that someone knows your password, it's better to change it. You can do so by visiting this page, clicking on "Reset Password" in menu, and filling in your e-mail address. You will then receive a link to that e-mail, which you can click on and set your new password. You should also use the /logout command the next time you connect, to make sure noone esle who used your account gets logged in without entering password.
Follow also Trainland and Mazeland rules
These rules apply to the whole server, but in additiona to them, both Trainland and Mazeland have their own additional rules. Keep it in mind and always be careful where you are on the server, so that you know which rules apply there. You can use the /here command to find this out.
Rules apply to everyone without exception
Even police is not allowed to break laws, and likewise even A-team members are required to follow the rules. They should even follow them better than anyone else, so that they can set an example of good behavior for other players.

Trainland Rules

The following rules apply in Trainland, the country owned by knedlik. Server rules are extended, not replaced, by these rules.

Listen to knedlik
In Trainland you're in a country owned by knedlik. Of course, even knedlik should follow rules, but he takes care of Trainland since the time it started existing. So if your opinion about how something should look or work in Trainland is different from knedlik's opinion, knedlik is right.
When you start cutting a tree, finish it
You'll most likely agree that a half of tree fyling in the air looks weird. So don't leave it that way and when you start cutting some tree, cut the whole damn thing, not just half.
Red means "stop", yellow means "beware", green means "go"
Like traffic lights, colors in Trainland may have a meaning. So if you go somewhere, beware yellow and red. It can save you from troubles.
Only send passwords via "/tell knedlik"
If you ever find a password that can help you to gain a reward, don't write it in chat. That will only reveal it to everyone. Use the /tell command or its shorter version /w and send the password privately only to knedlik. Of course, when knedlik is online.
Don't open or close doors in trains
Knedlik's trains are built to look ware in a certain state. Some doors are supposed to remain closed, some open, some get open and closes automatically or by pressing a button. Please respect that and leave doors that do not have controls in the state you find them in.
Don't troll other players
Do not make fun at the cost of other players. Rather make fun of yourself. That won't hurt anyone and people will like you more.
Don't argue with knedlik
If you don't agree with knedlik, simply let him know without any emotions that you have a different opinion, and let it be. It actually doesn't make sense to argue with anyone. Conflicts don't solve anything and don't help anyone.
Knedlik is always right
Don't forget that Trainland belongs to knedlik. When someone isn't right he most likely doesn't want to hear that from you. He has to figure it out on his own. Knedlik is no exception. And if the truth is about Trainland, knedlik has the right of the last word anyway, because he owns Trainland.

Mazeland Rules

The following rules apply in Mazeland, the country owned by madhon. Server rules are extended, not replaced, by these rules.

Build and destroy your own property only
First buy or gain a land and then start building on it. What you build on your own land, madhon will do his best to protect it. If you build something on someone else's land, you can easily lose it.
Close door after going through
If there are any doors in a maze, then they're supposed to stay closed. If you don't close doors behind you, you will be making it easier for other players to succeed in the maze that took so much of your efford to win.
No spectator mode in mazes
Do you wanna try what you can achieve, or do you wanna cheat? Cheating can be a faster way to the reward, but only if you play fair and win, you will really have a good feeling that remains.
Levels and rewards are decided by madhon
Reward for each maze should be adequate to its complexity. If you build a new maze, ask madhon to test it and decide what should be the reward for completing it.
No /tpa or /home
We have already mentioned cheating above. Just like using creative or spectator gamemodes, also teleporting is not fair play. Madhon doesn't like cheaters, so cheating is against the rules.
Don't argue with madhon
If you don't agree with madhon, simply let him know without any emotions that you have a different opinion, and let it be. It actually doesn't make sense to argue with anyone. Conflicts don't solve anything and don't help anyone.
Madhon is always right
Don't forget that Mazeland belongs to madhon. When someone isn't right he most likely doesn't want to hear that from you. He has to figure it out on his own. Madhon is no exception. And if the truth is about Mazeland, madhon has the right of the last word anyway, because he owns Mazeland.

A-team Rules

A-team is our staff team. It's the group of players who voluteer to take care of this server, make sure it keeps working and there is a lot of fun, so that people enjoy playing there.

Being A-team member is not a privilege. It's a job. A-team membership is not for everyone. It's only good for people who enjoy helping other people, people who like to create something nice, good, or useful. These are the ones, thanks to whom TrainMazeLand is what it is, and for that they deserve a great respect.

But please respect also the fact that A-team members do not necessarily have time for you right at the time when you want something from them. They can be busy helping someone else, they can also simply be currently just wanting to spend some time playing for a moment.

A-team members communicate in a private channel on Slack, where they discuss applications, inquiries, and complaints from players, which a single person cannot make good judgements of alone, such as A-team position applications. We also use it to discuss ideas how to make our server even better.

As a staff member, if you cannot participate in the discussion for a longer period of time, you have to apologize. Staff member who neither participates in the Slack channel nor apologies for absence for one month or more can be degraded to lower position or completely fired from staff.
